In some cases the unit is even built with the house in order to be fully integrated into the base design of the room. If you are dealing with a home that is already built, you can still add an integrated fridge to your kitchen. it will just require some retrofitting. One of the benefits of this is the floor space utilization is much more efficient versus a stand alone fridge. In a room like the kitchen, this can be a very important point, and sometimes this is the very reason a homeowner decides to go with an integrated fridge. One of the potential drawbacks of these fridges is that in many cases they have less internal space than a stand alone fridge. The decision on size and functionality is a personal one, as the space needed will vary from family to family.
